Writing and Structuring your Thesis

The aims of this session are to introduce research students to the typical formats used in writing and structuring MPhil and PhD research theses and to consider good practice in effective academic writing. It is never too early to start thinking about writing and structuring your thesis, therefore students at all stages are encouraged to attend.
By the end of this workshop you will:-
- understand how research theses are structured within your own discipline and in other fields
- be aware of the University regulations relating to this (and why they are so few in number
- have learned some effective approaches to academic writing.
Lunch will be available beforehand at 12:30. If you require lunch please register for that too!
